The Perks of Being a Wallflower

A movie I can't wait to watch! Click this trailer link to see what it's about! Or just watch it below.

I forgot how I got to know about this movie. But I am interested in it because of EMMA WATSON! She is starring in it! And in the trailer, she is so really attractive, to the point of seductive! Based on that one reason, it's already a must-watch! Secondly, I like the plot. I find myself able to relate to the plot, though I have not read the book. And I plan to.

SEPTEMBER SEEMS SO FAR AWAY RIGHT NOW!

"Come on, let's go be psychos together!"

Restaurant Shabu Shabu at Bandar Puteri, Puchong

I just came back from Father's Day dinner at Restaurant Shabu Shabu at Bandar Puteri Puchong! It's  a japanese buffet style shabu shabu, where all the food is displayed on a conveyor belt for our convenience. We can choose which food to take from a very wide variety of choice! The restaurant offers chicken meat, prawns, fish, squid, fish ball, other types of balls, various vegetable, various tau fu, chicken's organs, eggs, small eggs, yee mee, mee hun and more. They also have pork (upon request) and beef! They also have free flow of drinks (orange juices, mixed juices, sky juice and green tea) but my favourite is THEIR ICE CREAM! Who doesn't like ice cream, right? They have mint flavored, chocolate, corn, coffee / cappuccino, vanilla with chocolate chip and my favourite, YAM! If my mother didn't prohibit me, I would have refilled my ice cream countless times despite my excruciatingly satiated stomach. Come on, the ice cream is free!

Well, not technically free. We paid RM30 per pax for all this. But I think the price is worthy of the food, so I don't mind!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves really. But I didn't take any picture because I practically forgot about taking any picture as soon as I saw all the food rotating on the belt! And also because all the pictures were taken with my bro's girlfriend so I don't need to take any pictures any longer (and I can just enjoy my food!) I highly recommend this place to anyone! I would sound more convincing if I had any pictures but for more proofs, you can just google this place! Shabu shabu at Puchong! It's near Giant and it's at the same row as CitiBank. Go try!

Daily Rant

I think my blog has become the virtual place which I turn to when Facebook fails to erase my boredom. Or when I am otherwise bored, especially at work. My job currently is to design, which really isn't my strength. I am trying to figure out which software to use to design a decent poster, and the software has to be user-friendly enough for a newbie like me to use! I am trying to figure out how to use GIMP right now, and also exploring whether it can be used to design good graphics. If it fails, I think I can only rely on Microsoft Office, which I think is hopeless if I want to design something more canggih! Someone help me!

I read an interesting piece of news just now. Interesting to me anyway. As many people know, Andy Lau has married a Malaysian lady and they now have a baby girl. The news stated that Andy will allocate RM4mil for his daughter's education fund. Which, I think is roughly 800,000 pounds sterling? This news attracted my attention because the exceptionally big amount of money got me into thinking how I could have utilized it. Which is really intriguing, depending on the various ways you want to spend that money! For example, with RM4mil, you can just shake your legs at home while earning the bank interest! But it's just a dream. Heh.

What's on the news

Though this news may not have made it to the headline but I find it very disturbing, especially when it involves the education field. I am referring to the recent freezing of PTPTN loan for UNISEL students. Apparently, the move was just a test to see if what Pakatan Rakyat claimed can be carried out. I shall not focus on PR's claim. What I cannot stand is the higher education minister, Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin's reason on the loan freeze, "It was to see what the state government would do to help the new students without the means of a PTPTN loan, that's why we froze it temporarily." But the money isn't yours to begin with! And, we're talking about education here! This is not a toy or some lego pieces you can test to see if your toy construction was stable. This is people's education and future we are talking about. Your action is absolutely childish!

Moving on to another issue. I absolutely cannot withhold my dissatisfaction towards a statement made by another minister. It probably is due to my personal circumstance or my personal emotion, but I still find what he said rather offensive. On the news regarding the bidding of WWW car plates, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz has successfully bid WWW 97. He said, “I have a lot of money, how to spend the money? As a minister, RM10,000 is not much; it’s not RM400,000 or RM100,000, that will be too much.”

"RM10,000 is not much."

"RM10,000 is not much."

I understand that it is probably my own personal bias feeling. I understand that that is how rich people use their money. I understand that I will not understand their mentality.

But in my situation right now, I just cannot fathom what he said and I feel very dissatisfied with that statement.
